These Two poems discuss about war. The theme of the first poem called “dulce est decorum est” explains how war affects people and how soldiers suffer. In the other hand, the second poem “The Soldier” expresses how people should give their lifes for their country. The poem persuades the reader to believe that war is a heroic act of victory. The other poem instead shows that war is one of the worse acts mankind could do. These contrasting opinions are formed through the experience of the poets.
Rupert Brooke, the author of “the soldier” wrote this poem in 1914, before the war began properly. Rupert Brook was born as a rich person, in the upper classes, and it’s famous for his idealistic war poems. Brooke was killed one year after he wrote this poem (1915) by an insect bite.
Wilfred Owen, the author of “dulce est decorum est” worked as a teacher and was part of the working middle class. He went to war two times and he was sent home after he got a tremendous shell shock. Unfortunately he died three days before peace was declared. He was awarded with a medal for his extreme bravery. He wrote this poem in October of 1917 and was finally published after his dead in 1920. The title of this poem is wrote in latin and it talks about how was life in the war, being a soldier, not being able to have a shower in days or weeks.
Wilfred Owen’s poem expresses exactly how I feel about war. He uses tremendous similes and alliteration in many ways. Some similes as “Bent double like old beggars under sacks” expresses the reality of discomfort and filth of soldiers and another example as “and flound’ring like a man in fire or lime” Wilfred Owen makes you feel death to shock the reader.
In comparison, the poem of Rupert Brooke doesn’t show much care about the actual reality of war and just tries to persuade the reader of the good points about war instead of the bad ones such as the suffering of the soldiers and their families. And this doesn’t mean this poem isn’t a good poem it’s just another way of thinking that the reader may agree or not agree with.
The poems have different levels of complexity in relation to the language each poem uses.
Wilfred Owen’s poem is probably more difficult to understand than Rupert Brook’s because of his higher level of language devices that it employs.
The conclusion of these two poems is that non of them is either wrong or right but they obviously are different points of view one expresses the negative view of war and the other the positive. The truth is neither of them can be complete but, as I see it, the two of them give a tremendous idea of war to actually be able to create a setting and a character and imagine being a soldier; how they suffer and also how they feel proud about saving their country although probably the fear and sadness in them is much bigger thant their proud.

Describe what you see yourself doing in the future?
I think I will be doing in the future something really interesting. I like challenges and make things I like to do. I am not sure what I want to do or what I am going to be in the future, but I have kind of the idea and I know what I like.
In my profecional life I would like being an arquitect or something relationated with design, it could be about clothes and fashion. I would also like to have a hobbie work that I would be doing too for working, like modeling and or a ballet dancer, I think that would be great because I like all the modeling career and I love ballet, but I wouldn´t like those careers being the only ones that I would work on.
I would like to live in Paris a certain time in my life. There I would maybe do the design career, that includesfashion and clothes. And also doing the modeling hobbie career in a company in Paris and the ballet that I want to do in my life. Returning from Paris I would like to marry and maybe have kids. I would like to have three kids.
While I am married I would be working being and architect or being a designer, and maybe I will stop working and just be in my house with my kids and being helping with everything in my house.
My future is not written yet so when the time comes to deside I think I can deside exactly what I want to be and where I want to do it when the time comes.

Nowadays what motivates me and who I admired
Really I can say that this last year I have felt fascinated with the tennis it is a very exciting and fun sport I would like to comment that my absolute passion was the soccer but now I had known a bit more about “tennis” I enjoyed it actually when I returned from Canada (two months ago) I began to training 6 times a week three hours daily and can be sure that it will be my sport in a future.
I will tell you that I feel very happy because I enjoy it a lot when I am playing it. I think that tennis is one of the most fascinating sports in all the world because when I stand on the court and I am waiting for the ball I am wishing to hit it by using my body and all my brain thinking about an intelligent strategy. I know that it also implicate a lot of perseverance and dedication. I know it.
I will begin for telling you that there are few persons for whom I feel great admiration this person of whom I am talking is really big, he is named Roger Federer number 1.
Roger Federer was born on August 8, 1981 in Binningen, Swiss his tennis career began when he was 6 years old, he is right-handed and he uses only one hand for the reverse.
Roger Federer is simply a different player, provided that rarely in the History one has seen a tennis player to handle all the technical variants with the facility and the quality that does it.
The serve he takes a very simple and relaxed mechanics, reason as which reaches really high speeds that 210 Km/H overcomes and difficultly one sees him to lower his average across the game. On the other hand he is very skilful to stamp on the ball the different effects or angles that the situations of game, the surface or the skill of his rival ask him.

I think that in the future i will be a cartoonist or maybe i will draw comics and sell them. 6. Describe what you see yourself doing in the future
I the future I see myself taking the same steps that my father has taken. I feel inside of me that im going to be a great actress and working beside my father in whatever: movies, soapoperas, TV series, etc. I see myself living in L.A. next to the best actors and actresses, but what I really prefer is to work next to my dad.
I recognize myself more an auditory and visual person. I remember working next to nice actors and actresses in a couple of soapoperas. I believe that the career cinemma direction (what my father studied) is really cool and I hope to be and to study this.
What Im about to tell you, an anecdote of me, is that I always practice infront of the mirror different characters nad changing my voice like an evil person, a victim, a good person or which other character, voice or being a hero in a life of a person.
I believe that being a famous person brings you good and bad stuff.
Like living in Mexico, a bad thing is receiving in your home and cellphone, threatning calls about your family who has being kidnapped. A good thing of being famouse is that it opens you a lot of doors leading to success throughout history. It also helps you economic way. I love being dramatic in everything.
When Im in school, I feel like Im not the person that I want to e but when I am with my family Im the young girl I want to be. Sometimes when I am really annoyed, I feel like a wildbeast who is about to come out. I love everything about acting and directing. I hope that someday I work with my dad. There are lots of things that i would like to work in the future. I don't know what i'll be working in the future but I would like to be a football player; because i enjoy playing football ,i love football and i've always played football, i've played it since i was a young boy. Or i would like to do a sport for a living, for example i would like to go to the olympics, or i would like to be a beach football player or football 5 vs. 5 (it's football but in a small indoors court). My dream is to play a world cup. I would like to live somewhere in Europe because i've heard good things about europe and i've never been to europe. And i also would like to live in Europe because there are really good football leagues such as The Premiere League, The Spanish League, The "Serie A" from italy, The Bundesliga from germany and others.
I would also like to study medicine because i think it is an interesting subject and i like medicine. One of the other reasons of studying medicine is that my parents also studied medicine.
I would like to have a nice family with wife and children and to live happy, and teach them how they teached me.

I am a person who wishes to be dependent and make things by herself, but whenever I'm alone, I cannot deny I do miss to have a friend I can depend on, a friend I can trust and that can inspire me and bring me enthusiasm. After all, enthusiasm is excitment with inspiration, motivation and a pinch of creativity.
Once, a friend of mine told me: "Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try." I have kept that quote ever since, and it has always helped me through, even though that friend moved away long ago.
I believe that your friends are a unique part in your life, making it worth living.
Friends are great people, really great people make you feel that you, too, can be great. Shoot to the moon and even if you miss you´ll end up among the stars!

After living in Holland for 11 years, my parents gave the news that we were going to Mexico. My sister and I were really sad because we didn't want to leave our home country, but my parents had the choice, we didn't.
After a few months the ship ment had arrived to take all our stuff to Mexico. They had taken nearly everything. The only things that were left behind were the curtains and the sofa. We stayed 2 weeks more in Holland with nothing else than a box made table and some matrases. Finally we arrived in Mexico. One month later we had to start school.
The first day of school was very interesting. My sister and I entered the school, we didn'tknow what to do. We saw all the children standing and talking to eachother on a court. We asked ourselves: What on earth??!! When we finally found a teacher she told us what to do. When I finally got to the place where all the year seven children were, I stood alone. After a few months the ship ment had arrived to take all our stuff to Mexico. They had taken nearly everything. The only things that were left behind were the curtains and the sofa. We stayed 2 weeks more in Holland with nothing else than a box made table and some matrases. Finally we arrived in Mexico. One month later we had to start school.
The first day of school was very interesting. My sister and I entered the school, we didn'tknow what to do. We saw all the children standing and talking to eachother on a court. 6) Describe what you see yourself doing in the futue;
When I grow up I would love to be a graphic designer although my personality is kinesthatic and not visual I love designing stuff, especially cars. I liked cars since I was little and designing them has always been my passion. I always drew cars in my notebooks and they were really horrible but now I think I am really good at it so I am working hard to be one of the best. I would love to work for an important company such as Porsche®.
I want to live in Italy because I love italians, their culture and their food. Also because the most important sports cars brands are originated from Italy and it will be much easier to get a job there; Study my career will be much easier because there are many universities based on graphic designing. I would particulary like to live in Rome because I have seen lots of photos of it and people tell me wonderful things about it although I have not been there.
I would also love to be really good at tennis because I have been playing since I was four years old. I love this sport and it makes me realase my feelings when I am feeling sad or angry and relax. I want to have a family; one boy and one girl and a lovely wife and live with them in Italy. I want to be millionaire as well but by working hard every day, not by being lazy, so I can feel proud of myself for working hard everyday. I love to feel proud of my work, it makes me confident and and a better person as well as more happy. I would love to become this when I grow up, if I achieve this I will complete my lifelong dream and probably be happy for the rest of my life although my aspirations can change with time, that is what I want to be in the future and I now I can achieve this because it is not impossible.

Some times people all around the world motivate me for example there are so many people with bad parents who have lived in bad environment and still have a great life. These people motivate me but the people who motivate me the most are the people who have survived hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and even tsunamis having continued a great successful life not falling into drugs, alcohol or depression, these type of people are the people that motivate me when im sad I cant do what im intended to or anything really because they have lost family, friends and a home and they have started from 0. These people motivate me because when im sad and I think about them they make me think they made it through and im just sad and I cant.
Another thing that motivates me when im sad are my friends that they see me sad and tell me what’s wrong and they cheer me up making me believe that whatever’s wrong isn’t and what im sad about must be forgotten.

Hey! I took the test and saw I'm an auditory learner! That means I like music very much and I learn by listening to people how to do it! Although I had 4 points on auditory learning I had 3 points in the other two, so that means I'm a bit of everything :)! Music's my passion and when I grow up I want to be a musician! I'd like to play in gigantic stadiums and hear the roar of the audience... Men that's a good feeling!

When I'm feeling down and I need something to keep me alive is MUSIC :)! A good melody and beautiful lyrics always work when you need it. The feeling of knowing that one day I might be standing on a stage in front of thousands of people that will be crazy and enjoying the music, make's me happy! It's an awesome feeling that people know something you wrote without you showing it to them! You might freeze on stage because it's a hard song to sing (cause the lyrics are sad or just because it's a really sentimental piece to sing) and the audience's going to sing the song, get you out of the trouble and make you feel better hehe :)! That's the feeling that motivates me from keep on going and never surrender until my dream's accomplished!!!

Hey my name is Samer and I like sushi, sports, music, and Ice cream . My favorite animal is the KUDU!! I took a test and I am a Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic learner.
I started skateboarding 2 years ago. I was really trying and getting better each time. But a year ago I stopped skateboarding because I kept on falling off the skateboard . So I stopped skating. I was hurting my self really bad like scratching my face, arms and legs. I tried to jump 6 stairs and I did it , I was really happy. The second time I didn’t take enough speed and landed on the sixth step and flew off my board, I couldn’t walk but About 20 minutes later I was walking just fine. But I got really hurt so after I stopped skateboarding I tried other sports. But this year I tried again to skate and I am getting better each time.
Describe an Incident
When I started playing basketball and I wasn’t very good but I started practicing. I got inspired because there is a phrase that says “The Practice makes the Master”. So I asked people that new how to play basketball and they showed me how to do some things so I just kept on practicing, I got better and better. You can be vey good at something depending on your attitude. Really poor people do amazing things and people with no arms or legs could do amazing things. So you just have to set your mind to do it, and practice.
